Finney’s Professional Water Stains

Traditional Shades

Usage: Translucent colour for bare or stripped wood applied prior to finishing. Totally intermixable
Product description: Deep penetrating, traditional wood stain – water based

Finney’s Professional Water Stains can be applied by brush or Lint free cotton cloth. For best results raise the grain with warm water prior to application and when dry flatten the raised fibres of the wood with 220 Hi-flex Abrasive Paper. Use a Tack Cloth to remove any dust before applying stain.

• Light fast colours
• Accepts all wood finishes but always use Finney’s Transparent Fixative before applying water based varnishes

Red Mahogany (strong mid red)
Mid Mahogany (mid red)
Dark Mahogany (dark red brown)
Brown Mahogany (red brown)
Teak (golden brown)

Antique Pine
Special Warm Pine

Bright Colours

Usage: Primary and secondary colours for bare and stripped wood applied prior to finishing. Intermixable shades
Product description: Highly pigmented wood stain in vibrant colours – water based

Finney’s Professional Water Stains are deep penetrating and suitable for all woods. Black can be used to create black ash effect or for ebonising.

• Dilute with water for pastel shades
• Accepts all wood finishes but always use Finney’s Transparent Fixative before applying water based varnishes

Colours: Yellow, Red, Blue, Green, Black
