Creating a Jet Black FinishAre you in the black? Black sets off surrounding woodwork like no other colour but simply using ebony wood dye does not work as you end up with a 'blue / black' shade.Finney's Black Professional Water Stain produces a jet black colour on porous woods such as pine and is perfect to recreate a black ash effect on ash. To achieve a jet black colour on very dense woods you will need to apply Finney's Black Professional Water Stain followed by a coat of Finney's Jet Black Renovator. Once dry, finish with either Finney’s Microporous Hardwax Oil for a natural looking waxed sheen, or FINPOL Easy Polish for a polished wood finish.
